Favorites for the Holidays
Monday, Dec. 3, 2018 (7:30 pm - 9:00 pm)
The Penfield Symphony Orchestra will present “Favorites For The Holidays,” concert sponsored by Canandaigua National Bank & Trust. The concert will feature Higdon’s blue cathedral and Beethoven’s famous Symphony No. 5 in C minor. Additionally, there will be lots of holiday favorites and the premier of a new brass piece. The concert will be held on December 3, 2018, at 7:30 p.m. at the Penfield High School Auditorium located at 25 High School Drive in Penfield, New York. Tickets can be purchased online at www.penfieldsymphony.org, by phone at 585-872-0774, at all area Wegmans, the Penfield Recreation Department, Canandaigua National Bank (Penfield Branch), and at the door on the night of the concert. Tickets cost $15 for adults and $12 for senior citizens, 60 and over. For students of any age with a student ID, tickets are free. "blue cathedral" is an orchestral work by the American composer Jennifer Higdon. This touching, evocative music is one of her most performed works. Beethoven’s famous 5th Symphony has been described as one of the most important works of its period – a “symphony of destiny.”Directed by Dr. David Harman since 2000, this 90-piece orchestra enriches the community by providing a variety of fine classical music.

Town's Annual Outdoor Menorah Lighting
Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2018 (5:30 pm - 6:30 pm)
The Chanukah Holiday begins at Sundown on Sunday, December 2nd and will continue for 8 days. In celebration of Chanukah the Town’s Annual Outdoor Menorah Lighting will take place Tuesday, December 4th at 5:30PM at the Four Corners of Penfield in Schuffelberger Park. This event is open to the entire community. Donuts and Potato Pancakes, known as Latkes, will be served to all who attend. We hope you will join us at this celebration of Chanukah, on Tuesday, December 4th at 5:30PM in the four corners of Penfield. We would like to wish everyone a Happy Holiday season.

26th Annual Christmas Cookie Sale
Saturday, Dec. 8, 2018 (10:00 am - 12:00 pm)
The 26th annual Christmas Cookie Sale of the Women’s Club of Webster will take place in the community room of the Webster Public Library on Saturday, December 8, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon or until sold out. To enter the newly-renovated library, the entrance is on the North side of building.
Many varieties of homemade Holiday Cookies will be available. The cost is $9.00 per pound. Proceeds from the sale, which is eagerly awaited by area cookie lovers, will benefit the club’s scholarship funds as well as a plethora of other programs in the Webster community.

December Holiday Luncheon
Thursday, Dec. 20, 2018 (11:15 am - 2:00 pm)
"On A Positive Note", an ‘a cappella’ singing group, affiliated with the esteemed Irondequoit Chorale, will be entertaining the Women’s Club of Webster at the club’s, December holiday luncheon. This event will take place on Thursday, December 20th at The Midvale Country Club, 2387 Baird Road, Penfield, with a social mix-and-mingle at 11:15 a.m., a brief meeting at 12:00 noon and lunch at 12:30 p.m. followed by the musical entertainment.
Menu choices include: Chicken French, Sliced Sirloin Bordelaise and Haddock French. All entrees are $22.00 and include tossed salad, smashed potatoes, a vegetable medley, coffee & tea and brownie a-la-mode with chocolate sauce.
