Chickens will be prepared on site at the First Baptist Church of Penfield, at 1862 Penfield Road by Gale-Wyn Catering. Dinners are $10.50 and include a half barbecued chicken, coleslaw or macaroni salad, salt potatoes, roll and butter. Bring your family, invite your friends and tell your neighbors. RTOS Organ Concert

The Rochester Theater Organ Society proudly presents its next “Pops on Pipes” concert on on Sunday, May 26th at 2:30PM at the Rochester Auditorium Theater, 885 E.Main St., Rochester, NY Organist Clark Wilson, will accompany the 1925 silent movie “The Freshman”, starring Harold Lloyd on the RTOS-Grierson Wurlitzer 4/23 Theater pipe organ! Admission to RTOS concerts for non-members is $15 per person. Children 12 & under, and students with school ID are free. Box office opens at 1:30 PM on day of performance. General admission seating. handicapped accessible.

Memorial Day Ceremony of Remembrance

The Town of Penfield's annual Memorial Day Ceremony of Remembrance will be held Monday, May 27, 10:30AM at Penfield Amphitheater at Veterans Memorial Park. *This event will be moved to the Town Hall Auditorium if rain or poor field conditions occur. This year's ceremony will include the Presentation of Roses. If you would like to present a rose in memory of a deceased veteran, please contact Sabrina at (585) 340-8651, or srenner@penfield.org.


Board of Assessment Review Grievance Day by Appointment

Notice: The Board of Assessment Review will meet on May 28, 2019, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. in the Penfield Town Hall Auditorium, 3100 Atlantic Avenue, Penfield, N.Y. to hear complaints in relation to assessments and on application of any persons believing to be aggrieved by appointment. Applications will be available in the Assessment Office at the Town Hall on May 1, 2019. Original applications must be completed and filed with the Board of Assessment Review on or before May 28, 2019.


Heritage Christian Services Informational Meeting

Heritage Christian Services will be holding an informational meeting on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at 7:00 P.M., at the Penfield Presbyterian Church at 1881 Jackson Road, to make the public aware of its intent to construct and operate a 4,000+/- square foot, one story, six bed group home, on a 1.5+/- acre lot to be created from a 7.3 acre lot owned by the Penfield Presbyterian Church at 1881 Jackson Road. The purpose of the meeting is to review the plan and architectural design of the home and address residents’ questions. Dayton's Corners Pie Social

Dayton’s Corners School/Museum will be holding their annual pie social located at the corner of Creek Street and Plank Road on Sunday, June 2 from 2:00PM to 4:00PM. Come try a taste of an authentic 1857 Sunday social. There will be free pony rides for the kids, music, playground equipment, tours of the schoolhouse, and an opportunity to spend time with the teachers. Beat Brain Cancer 5k
Saturday, Jun. 8, 2019 (9:00 am - 11:00 am)
Fast Flast road race through the Village of East Rochester NY. Proceeds from this race will be donated to the Stoch family of Webster NY. Spunky 8 year old Vivian Stoch is battling medulloblastoma brain cancer. Viv is unable to attend school and cannot participate in activities she loves at this time. Lets come together as a community to help this family with lost wages and medical expenses. Cash prizes to overall male/female in top three spots. Medals to top three in age groups. kids obstacle course and 1 mile walk as well.

Independence Day Celebration

Schedule of events for the Independence holiday here in Penfield: PARADE at 10:00 AM - PHS to Penfield Community Center **All parade route arteries will be closed during the parade** Featuring: Penfield Fire Company & Band, Gates Keystone Club Police Pipes & Drums, Towpath Volunteers Fife & Drum, Downbeat Percussion, Kelley's Heroes Marching Band, The Savannah Cellar Savers, and more! Harris Whalen Park, 5:00PM - 10:00PM Great food and kids activities! FIREWORKS at 10:00PM **Parking Restrictions To guarantee safe passage for emergency vehicles during the Town's Independence Day Celebration, parking restrictions will be enforced. "No Parking" signs will be posted on Friday, June 28 and removed after event. The Monroe County Sheriff's Department will be monitoring compliance. Tickets will be issued and cars will be towed at owner's expense. **Harris Whalen Park Neighborhood Parking will be prohibited on one side of these neighborhood streets adjacent to Harris Whalen Park: •Avonmore Way •Hidden Meadow •Hillrise Drive •Lazy Trail •Timber Glen Trail •Valley Green Circle •Valley Green Drive •Maple Hill Farm Road •Maple Leaf Circle **Baird Road Neighborhood Parking will be prohibited on one side of Wheelock Road and the southern portion of Peachtree Road. Parking will be prohibited on both sides of the following streets: •Baird Road north of 441 to Whalen Road •Hotchkiss Circle •Henderson Drive •Kenmont Drive •Peachtree Road (northern portion) Fireworks Traffic Flow & Parking To provide for a smooth traffic flow and pedestrian safety after the fireworks at Harris Whalen Park, the Town Board has established the following parking facilities and traffic restrictions: Wegmans Parking Lot -Vehicles using the main exit to Penfield Rd at the light across from Harris Whalen Park will be directed west toward the city. There will be no right-hand turns allowed. Both exits onto Rt. 250 will be limited to right-hand turns only. All traffic will be directed south toward Fairport. There will be no exit allowed at the Penfield Rd exit at HSBC Bank. Parkside Commons/ESL/Dunkin Donuts -All traffic will exit onto Rt. 250 and be directed north toward Webster. The southern exit onto Penfield Rd. will be closed. Penfair Plaza -The south exit onto Penfield Rd. will be limited to left-hand turns only toward Walworth to the east. The Hess Station exits will be closed. The west exit onto Rt. 250 will be directed north toward Webster. The Rt. 250 exit at the Post Office will be closed. Platinum Complex -All traffic will be directed north toward Webster. Willow Pond Way - All traffic will be directed west toward the city. ** Traffic pattern goes into affect at 9:45 PM **
